youth alive

i have always thought to myself that ONE day, i must go and see what a Youth Alive event is like!

so hooray! i went yesterday for the afternoon session (we couldn't get tickets for the night one) and it was i think half the length of the original session!

nevertheless, it was pretty awesome... i mean, praise and worship with the United band?? we even brought glow sticks! (haha!) :D and we were a bit deaf after we got out!

Scott "Sanga" Samways, the NSW State directer of Youth Alive preached a hilarious (humphrey the bear, aerobics self-defense?! i love you like diarrhoea- i just can't hold it in LOL) but life-impacting message that all of us have heard before but need to keep hearing! about the purpose we have in Jesus- and i'm sure it blew all of us away when we saw maybe 50 youth down at the front for the altar call!

just throughout the whole thing- i think my heart was stirred with many dreams. dreams of what the future can look like; dreams of what a generation who will stand for God will look like, dreams of what Unidus will be, dreams of what Hope Brisbane will be, dreams of where God will call me to and what He will call me to...

imagine what could be and what God can do when the people of God make a united stand for Him, in our high schools, universities, work places and communities- imagine the revival, imagine the impact!

oh Lord let us be a generation that will seek Your face- of clean hands and a pure heart; a generation that will rise and see revival in this land and in the nations!
